Daiwa's BG MQ represents the evolution of the BG series of sea spinning reels! The new BG MQ or BG Monocoque features a monocoque aluminum body and is extremely light and strong like a Formula One racing car! In terms of application, the new BG MQs are designed for everything from shore fishing to Spinning and Shore Jigging to boat feeding, even Bluefin Tuna! Thanks to the Monocoque design, the reel body acts as a rigid frame and is distortion-proof, remaining handy and compact at the same time. Compared to most competing reels, the gears are between 20% and 40% larger and also feature wider toothing, which gives the gears longer life with tests that have verified one to three times longer than competitors.
